Grandpre' Custom Homes, Inc. is a quality home building and remodeling business located in the heart of Alaska, the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. We are licensed by the State of Alaska as a general contractor with a Residential Endorsement. We specialize in custom built homes and have extensive experience in remodeling, additions, and fire restoration. Our President, Gary Smith, is the first contractor in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley to receive the Certified Graduate Remodelor, CGR designation.

Company Profile
Company President, Gary A. Smith, CGR, has been in the residential construction field since his move to Alaska in 1975. He formed Grandpre' Custom Homes, Inc. in 1982. Gary and his wife, Alice, work closely together in their home office.

Gary is an active member of the Mat-Su Home Builders Association. He served as President in 1997. He is also a member of the Alaska Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Gary enjoys working on community building and restoration projects.

ENERGY *Grandpre'* was awarded the 1998 Governor's Award for Excellence in Energy Efficient Design for new residential construction in the high-end category. CRAFTSMANSHIP *Grandpre'* earned the Quality Craftsmanship Award during the Mat-Su Home Builders Association Parade of Homes in 1998. Gary has earned the designation of Certified Graduate Remodelor, CGR, from the National Association of Home Builders.
